Dr Becky Maclean is a Consultant in Public Health and bowel cancer screening senior lead in NHS England. She currently works with stakeholders to develop plans to reduce inequalities within bowel cancer screening. Previously she has worked in local authority public health on cancer planning, including prevention and early diagnosis.
April is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month and it's a good time to highlight the evidence that clearly demonstrates the effectiveness of bowel cancer screening.
