The UK National Screening Committee (UK NSC) is pleased to announce 2 new dates for its online, interactive screening masterclass.
The masterclass is designed for people with an interest in screening policy and practice and is suitable for those working in screening programmes, public health, healthcare, research and related fields. We also welcome people who contribute to screening through public and patient involvement.
The masterclass is a full-day online learning session, designed to fit within a standard working day. Sessions combine presentations, discussion, practical exercises and quizzes, giving participants the opportunity to learn alongside colleagues from a range of professional and public involvement backgrounds.
The programme includes topics such as:
- the principles of screening
- how screening recommendations are developed
- the role of evidence in screening policy
- the benefits, risks and challenges of screening programmes
2026 dates
The 2 new dates for the online, interactive screening masterclass are:
- Friday, 4 September 2026
- Monday, 7 December 2026

Email uknsc@dhsc.gov.uk if you would like to book a place, telling us your role, organisation and which of the dates you would prefer. Please include the words 'Screening masterclass' in the subject line of your email.
Places are limited and we expect demand to be high.
