Dr Graham Shortland

Dr Graham Shortland is a Consultant Paediatrician and Vice Chair of the UK National Screening Committee. His main interest is inherited metabolic disease. UK-wide roles include 6 years as chairman of the British Inherited Metabolic Disease Group, and involvement in the introduction of new UK-wide newborn blood spot screening programmes for the UK NSC. He was awarded an OBE in 2020 for services to paediatrics, patient safety and the NHS in Wales.
