Dr Jo Waller

Jo Waller is Professor of Cancer Behavioural Science in the Wolfson Institute of Population Health, Queen Mary University of London. With a background in health psychology, she has worked for over 20 years in cancer prevention, screening and early diagnosis. Her team’s research aims to understand the acceptability, uptake and psychological impact of cancer screening. Jo is a member of the UK National Screening Committee’s Research and Methodology Group.

HPValidate cervical screening self-sampling study publishes final results

The HPValidate study has published its final results and found that 4 combinations of HPV self-collection device and test worked well – these can now be used to help find out how self-sampling could be introduced into cervical screening.
