Lauren is a project lead/manager for the NHS Newborn Blood Spot Screening Programme. Lauren is a Registered Nurse with over 12 years’ experience in Neonatal Intensive Care. Lauren also worked as a Paediatric Clinical Research Nurse at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, prior to joining Public Health England in 2020 and NHS England in 2021.
The evaluation of screening babies for severe combined immune deficiency in the NHS has come to an end and the results are being analysed.
