About this blog
Screening identifies apparently healthy people who may be at increased risk of a disease or condition, enabling earlier treatment or informed decisions.
National population screening programmes are implemented on the advice of the UK National Screening Committee (UK NSC), which makes independent, evidence-based recommendations to ministers in the 4 UK countries.
This blog is the best way to keep in touch with news, views and updates relating to all the work of the UK NSC. If you have any questions or comments about a blog article then you can email uknsc@dhsc.gov.uk. You can also sign up for email alerts.
